Welcome
Falcon Bowling & Tennis Club welcomes new and old members. Located at 84 Newbattle Terrace, Morningside, Edinburgh. The club boasts a fine bowling green and three traditional blaes (red terracotta) tennis courts all maintained to a high standard. There is a healthy membership of about three hundred, of all ages and abilities, and the club is always keen to welcome new members. History
In 1998 the City of Edinburgh Council felt unable to afford the maintenance of the bowling green and tennis courts at 84 Newbattle Terrace. Some local residents and regular users became concerned that the facility would be lost to the community. The Falcon Bowling and Tennis Club was formed and a 30-year lease was agreed with the Council in 2005.
Since the Club's formation, substantial investment has been made in the professional refurbishment of the bowling green and the tennis courts. With a grant from the City of Edinburgh Council we upgraded the clubhouse in 2006 and installed the new enlarged entrance gates in 2010.
